Romanian Strawberry Tart Recipe

This very easy Romanian strawberry tart is made with a ready-made tart base, vanilla pudding, fresh strawberries, and a jelly glaze. Simply cook the pudding, pour it into the tart shell, top with sliced strawberries, cover with prepared gelatine, and chill until set. A refreshing, no-bake dessert perfect for summer!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 ready-made tart case
  • 1 pack vanilla pudding
  • 500 ml milk (plus sugar, if needed, for the pudding)
  • 300-400 gr fresh strawberries
  • 1 pack gelatine

Instructions
 

  • Prepare the vanilla pudding according to the package instructions. Use the 500 ml of milk and add sugar if the pack requires it.
  • Pour the hot pudding into the tart shell and let it cool completely.
  • Meanwhile, wash, dry, and halve the strawberries.
  • Once the pudding is set, arrange the strawberry halves neatly on top.
  • Prepare the gelatine or jelly glaze as instructed on the packet.
  • Pour the jelly gently over the strawberries to coat them evenly.
  • Chill the tart in the fridge for at least 1 hour, until the jelly has fully set.
  • Slice and serve cold.
